Director Selects: The return of touring orchestras

By Thor Steingraber

In the immediate aftermath of the pandemic, international touring orchestras severely curtailed their itineraries. The risks and the costs were too great. In the 2023-24 Season, they’re back. Along with the esteemed ensembles comes a roster of fresh faces to The Soraya. Violinist Midori, pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, and conductor Nathalie Stutzmann, among others. The series features composers who are familiar to all – Beethoven, Bach, and Brahms. The Soraya Great Hall will again ring with the warm and crystal-clear sound of great orchestras, just as it was designed to do. See the entire Classical Series here, and get a feel for the entire season in our 2023-24 Season Brochure.

Warmly,
