Director Selects: Extraordinary women in the 23-24 Season

Not long ago, there were very few women in leadership positions in the performing arts – conductors, composers, choreographers, and organizational leaders. This may seem hard to believe, but it’s true. The Soraya’s 2023-24 season features women who are among the most impactful in their fields – Rhiannon Giddens, Tiler Peck, Nathalie Stutzmann, Samara Joy, Midori, and more. CSUN President Erika D. Beck makes a cameo appearance in this week’s Director Selects to share more about The Soraya’s programs this year, and how excited we are to highlight these incredible artists.
