Ranky Tanky’s “get funky” vibe and Fischer’s versatile vocal talents paired up for an entertaining night of music-making. Once one of the world’s busiest rock ‘n roll backup singers, Fischer commanded the spotlight with her unequaled vocal range. With its warm West African Island rhythms, Ranky Tanky provided the party atmosphere with its South Carolina Gullah roots. Together, the pairing delivered an evening of stories and songs reminiscent of lively dance halls and cozy juke joints.

The night kicked off with spectacular additions from The Soraya’s team, transforming the venue into a vibrant scene complementing Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra’s performance. Beads and masks adorned the lively crowd as they enjoyed our special concessions menu, featuring delectable offerings from Shrimp Po’boy to New Orleans’ famous beignets.
