Artist Alan Bodner applies his spontaneous, unpredictable, and chaotic process to produce vibrant and theatrical compositions. A menagerie of original characters, personalities, and monsters in surreal, complex settings acknowledge cultural references to the past, present, and his personal vision of the future. Bodner’s illustrations compound, distort, and exaggerate for emotional effect, and his prints combine a mastery of digital technology and hand-painted silkscreen.

Bodner’s fine art is an extension of an award-winning, twenty-five-year career as an Art Director for numerous studios and production companies, including the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., DreamWorks, The Cartoon Network, and Filmation, to name a few. He lives in Los Angeles, California, near the Walt Disney Animation Studios where he continues his work as Art Director on Tangled the series.
