Soraya Stories

Director Selects:
Relive the Magic of Jazz at Naz 2025

By Thor Steingraber

We have wrapped The Soraya’s fourth annual jazz festival, Jazz at Naz, and the response has been overwhelming, both in the theater and around the world. We have edited together some highlights from the live streams that were viewed as far away as Hong Kong and Croatia. In addition to the seven-camera shoot onstage, another hallmark of the festival is the artist interviews conducted backstage pre-concert and during intermission. With just a few seconds dedicated to each concert in this highlights reel, you may not sense the sprawl of these conversations, but be assured, they provided unique insights into the artists and their music.

In addition to the eight performances over 20 days, and the six live streams, there were many educational events and membership activities. Each year since the festivals inception in 2022, The Soraya has built L.A.’s jazz audience, across the generations and geography.

Gratefully,
