The Soraya joins our partner, the Martha Graham Dance Company, in celebrating this week’s 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave American women the right to vote and propelled the ongoing struggle to guarantee those rights for all women. We honor the historic importance of the 19th through the lens of Martha Graham’s own social activism – so evident in works such as American Document, Panorama, Chronicle, and Immediate Tragedy.
