The Oscar- and GRAMMY Award-winning music of Randy Newman returns to The Soraya with Pixar’s groundbreaking hit film Toy Story, featuring the motley band of toys, including the lanky, likeable Sheriff Woody, and fearless space ranger Buzz Lightyear. To celebrate 30 years of this heartwarming friendship, bring the whole family for a large-screen presentation accompanied by live music. The CSUN Symphony Orchestra brings the beloved score to life.

Alice

Alice in Wonderland finds it way again and again onto stage and screen. In this postpandemic version by Moses Pendleton, choreographer and founder of Momix, the journey goes far beyond Lewis Carroll. All the characters are familiar, portrayed by eight versatile dancers who astonishingly metamorphose, aided by inventive costumes, colorful projections, and myriad props. The imaginative spectacle has been lauded as “trippy,” and the musical score is equally free-spirited, ranging from Bollywood to Danny Elfman to Jefferson Airplane. Momix calls its performers “dancer illusionists,” depicting their own mix of dance, physical transformation, and unexpected feats of human power and grace.

The Soraya celebrates Nochebuena’s 10th anniversary with an expanded schedule of performances, leading right into the holidays. The Soraya’s holiday favorite provides captivating entertainment that highlights Mexico’s many vibrant regions and family traditions. Throughout the decade, some of Mexico’s most beloved stars have joined the celebration, a tradition continued in 2025 with Mexican actress and multi-nominated Grammy and Latin Grammy vocalist Ximena Sariñana.
Cirque Kalabanté

Inspired by daily life in Guinea, West Africa, Yamoussa Bangoura created an Afrique en Cirque experience that vibrates with energy, strength, and agility. The acrobats of Cirque Kalabanté defy gravity and are accompanied by the sounds of live kora, percussion, and Afro-jazz music. Colorful costumes and scenery celebrate the beauty and artistry of African culture in a spectacle for all ages.
