Performing her legendary friend’s biggest hits, Mexico’s best-selling artist and six-time GRAMMY© nominee exhibits her stunning vocals on a wide variety of the legend’s infamous songs. Aida Cuevas is the only artist permitted by the Juan Gabriel estate to perform a tribute to the Latin American icon.

The “Queen of Ranchera Music” Aida Cuevas presents a mariachi spectacle celebrating Mexico’s bestselling artist, Juan Gabriel, with a new album, Aida Cuevas Canta a Juan Gabriel 40 años después.  Performing her legendary friend’s biggest hits Cuevas exhibits her stunning vocals on “Te Lo Pido Por Favor,” “Te Sigo Amando,” “La Diferencia,” among others. 

Juan Gabriel passed away in August 2016 as Mexico’s bestselling artist of all time with over 100 million albums worldwide.  Juan Gabriel, a six-time Grammy nominee, was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame in 1996 and given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009.

Aida Cuevas is the only artist given permission by the Juan Gabriel estate to perform a tribute to Latin American icon, Juan Gabriel.

Coming from a family steeped in art and melody, Valeria Cuevas emerges as the only daughter of the renowned “The Queen of Mariachi Music,” Aída Cuevas. Her natural grace and distinction are reflected in the elegance with which she wears Mexico’s traditional regional costumes.

Valeria Cuevas makes her debut on the professional music scene as a legitimate heir to Mexico’s rich musical tradition, determined to perpetuate and enrich her mother’s musical legacy. The young singer not only represents a renewal in the mariachi music scene but also a voice that will resonate in the hearts of those who love mariachi music, establishing herself as a worthy heir destined to perpetuate and enrich this emblematic musical treasure of Mexico for years to come.

Recognized for her talent and commitment to musical tradition, she was crowned “The New Princess of Mariachi” in November 2022 at Plaza Garibaldi, Mexico City. Throughout 2022 and 2023, she accompanied her mother as a special guest on a tour of 25 cities across the United States, captivating over 50,000 people. The year 2024 marks a significant milestone in Valeria Cuevas’ professional career, as she releases her debut studio album within the Mexican regional genre, titled “Mi Canto.” Available on all digital platforms.
