The Soraya’s third-annual Jazz at Naz Festival will be here in the blink of an eye. From January 27 through February 10 we will host some of the greatest musical talents that span generations and geography.
Distinct regional sounds of jazz will come to us from New Orleans, Cuba, New York, the Carolinas, Memphis, and nearby — from the great Herb Alpert who crafted a uniquely L.A. sound. One of our favorite things to do is pair artists of different generations on the same evening. For example, Booker T. Jones and Matthew Whitaker are separated in age by six decades, but they share a musical lineage and their love of the Hammond organ.
This week’s Director Selects video (linked above) features Reggie Quinerly, The Soraya’s own Jazz at Naz Festival streaming host. He will be backstage with us at every concert guiding us through the video livestream, with behind-the-scenes interviews with artists and more exclusive content. In the video above, Reggie shares a preview of the 2024 festival beginning on Jan. 27 with Herb Alpert and Lani Hall. This concert won’t be livestreamed. Act quickly to save your seat for this nearly sold-out show!
Gratefully,
